Humpback Rocks Mountain Farm

This scene is from the Humpback Rocks Mountain Farm. At milepost 5.8 on the Blue Ridge Parkway there is a rest stop-visitor center. The buildings are from nearby structures that have been moved there so visitors can get a sense of what a 19th century working mountain farm would have looked like. Open during the summer months there are costumed rangers demonstrating crafts and skills necessary for daily farm living.
